Enabling Third Party SFP to use in Cisco Devices

Cisco မဟုတ်တဲ့ Third Party SFP Module ကို သင့် Cisco Switch/Router/Firewall မှာ တပ်သုံးတဲ့အခါ၊
အလုပ်လုံးဝ မလုပ်တာကို သင်ကြုံဖူးပါလိမ့်မယ်။
ဒီအခါမှာ တချို့ က Module ပဲ မကောင်းသလိုလို...Port ပဲ ပျက်နေသလိုလို ထင်တတ်ကြပါတယ်။
တကယ်က မဟုတ်ပါဘူး။
Console ကနေ အောက်က လို Log Message ပြပေးပါတယ်။

ဒီ Message က သင့် ကို ပြောနေတာက သင့် Cisco Device က သင် SFP Module တပ်ထားတဲ့ Port ကို Disable လုပ်ထားတယ်ဆိုတာ ကို ပြောနေတာပါ။

ဒီတော့ ကျနော်တို့ Third Party Module ကို ကိုယ့် Cisco Device မှာ အလုပ်လုပ်နိုင်အောင် Command လေး ၂ ကြောင်း ရိုက်ရပါမယ်။

service unsupported-transceiver ဆိုတာကို ရိုက်ပြီးတဲ့အချိန်မှာ Warning Message တစ်ခုပေါ်ပါမယ်။
Third Party SFP ကို သုံးရင် Cisco ရဲ့ Warranty Cover မဖြစ်တော့ဘူးဆိုတာကို ပြောတာပါ။

no errdisable detect cause gbic-invalid ဆိုတာကတော့ port ကို disable လုပ်ပစ်ခြင်းကနေ တားမြစ်ထားတာပါ။

service unsupported-transceiver ကို Cisco ရဲ့ Help မှာ သင်ရှာလို့ တွေ့မှာ မဟုတ်ပါဘူး။

ဒီ command လေး အသုံးပြုဖို့ သင့် Cisco IOS က 12.2(25)SE အနည်းဆုံးဖြစ်နေရပါမယ်။
